THE CLIENT:

Yasmine Hawkins is an intelligent 27 year old woman, with an eccentric and inquisitive personality. She is a self-dependent individual who loves fashion, body art and modern architecture.

From a very early age, Yasmine had always been fascinated by reptiles in particular snakes. Born and raised in a small country town in Central Australia, her love for these slithery serpents blossomed particularly throughout her teenage years when she would visit her Uncle’s reptile farm in Darwin during her school holidays. After successfully completing her schooling, Yasmine decided to move to Darwin where she would commence her career as an apprentice snake keeper. Working alongside her Uncle for several years, Yasmine’s knowledge and passion in the field grew immensely; almost to the point of obsession, at which time she was promoted to senior snake keeper at the farm.

However, her world took an unexpected turn for the worse when her Uncle/mentor tragically passed away in a car accident. Yasmine was shattered by the news and lost all motivation to return to work. It was only during the reading of her Uncle’s last will and testament that she discovered he had decided to leave the entire farm in her care. Completely dumbfounded by her Uncle’s decision, Yasmine decided to honour his last wishes and dedicate her life to keeping his legacy alive.

Having realised the importance of her new entrusted responsibilities as the head of the farm, Yasmine felt it imperative that she relocate to a residence much closer to the establishment. However, all the properties located in the vicinity of the farm were unsuitable for the purposes of housing the various breeds of snake in her care, not to mention her own living standards. This ultimately led her to commission a new dwelling in which she may reside as well as care for the snakes of which she is responsible for.

This dwelling would reflect the important factors associated with her personality and profession while also creating an ideal environment which provides the highest standard of comfort.
